As part of the Pioneer DJ Revolution series of controllers the DDJ-REV1 is the perfect entry level controller for Serato DJ Lite with a battle style layout. This layout emulates two turntables and the DJM-S series mixers with larger than usual jog wheels compared to other controllers.Ā In true battle setup style the pitch faders of the DDJ-REV1 are positioned horizontally at the top of the controller. Just like other scratch mixers the performance pads are located above the mixer section to enable quick access during a performance.Ā FX paddles are a great way to trigger the software FX either momentarily or latched on. With easy access to FX selection you can manipulate your tracks to create a unique sound.Ā The DDJ-REV 1 also features a great new and fun way to scratch with Tracking Scratch. This handy feature returns the track to the cue point automatically when you move the jog wheel backward or take your hand away so you dont need to use the crossfader or worry about winding the jog back to the start point of your scratch. Simply choose the Scratch Crossfader Cuts pattern you want to use by pressing the relevant Performance Pad and push the jog forward to scratch. You can also use the Performance Pads on the controller to instantly trigger your favourite samples or tracks that youve loaded to the Scratch Bank in Serato DJ Lite previously only available in Serato DJ Pro and with Deck 34 Control you can play sounds from all 4 decks in the software.Ā Stream easy with the Pioneer DDJ REV 1 when live streaming you can add the microphone signal through the controller to add your voice to the mix. So now there is no need to use any external mixer or interface to add the mic in to your mix.Ā Serato DJ Lite integration The DDJ-REV1 is plug n play with Serato DJ Lite and unlocks some great new features.Ā Scratch Bank pad mode lets you instantly load scratch samples from 4 banks just by tapping the dedicated Scratch Bank button. You can also set a start point to load from too really handy if you are dropping in full tracks.Ā The DDJ-REV1 also unlocks 4 deck control of Serato DJ Lite easily switch layers at the touch of a button.Ā
